Had I Known

What is this life as we know it,
If it does not come to an end,
Yes the end of our earthly journey,
Is inevitable to to each human,
An end that has no power in itself,
The power comes from the quality of our relationships with each other,
Everything we do here,
As little as it may seem insignificant,
Will determine the quality of our life at the end,
Let us use every available opportunity in the now,
To ensure that when that moment comes,
This phrase “had I known” will cease to exist,
And the phrase “thank you Lord I was able to…”
As little as it may have seemed,
Will resound in our ears and hearts.
May God’s abundant graces be poured out on us all!

Do you believe that we are able to come to the end of our earthly life with no regarets?

The encounter

To think that my flesh and blood is already in heaven,
What a thought,
That to my being eludes,
No other explanation renders me more satisfying,
Than that of my humanity.
It is graced, blessed, honored, and digified,
By him whose death on the cross did not see the face of curruption.
To prove an empty grave,
But what physical proof is this?
Compared to the jewel of that faith,
That beyond any shatttered doubt,
Keeps me running the race.
All because of the Saviour,
Whose ascenion into eternity,
Did not leave behind a speck of that physique,
So as I trod through lifes endless wanders,
That all too soon descend in the bowels of this classic,
My eyes are fixed to that Which I believe.
As I walk to the finish line,
To await this crowning,
Which has become that of mine.

“the last breath”

As the winds of life,
My soul gently leads to its inner rest,
I cease not in this momemt of bliss,
For to rest would impede not thine own,
But that which is me,

And so my soul to the winds of change ignore,
For it knows none but its path to its eyes be glued,
In this vast abys yet everreadily sublime,
It chances not to forsake its heart,

And here at last it sees itself,
In that mystery of life soothingly pure,
It can nothing do but enshrine this cure,
In its inner quest to love undure,

This breath that once eluded its grasp,
Is yet so close to its yearning heart,
For in that one moment of glance,
The eternal sought has to it succumbed.
